    You will need to sign in to the Virtual Advising Center at least 30 minutes before closing.

    Getting Started with Virtual Financial Aid

    If using a mobile device, please make sure you have downloaded the Microsoft Teams application first. This is optional if using a desktop browser.

    Step 1: Install Microsft Teams.

    Android and Apple mobile devices

    1. Visit the Google Play Store or Apple App Store
    2. Search for MS Teams
    3. Install MS Teams
    4. Open MS Teams
    5. Enter your student email address: example1@live.spcollege.edu
    6. Select Work/School
    7. If asked again, select Work/School
    8. Sign in with your St. Petersburg College account
    9. Launch application

    PC or Mac desktop

    • Visit the Microsoft Teams site
    • Select Get the App
    • Install MS Teams
    • Open MS Teams
    • Enter your student email address: example1@live.spcollege.edu
    • Select Work/School
    • If asked again, select Work/School
    • Sign in with your St. Petersburg College account
    • Launch application

    What to Expect

    Important note: When connecting with the Virtual Advising Center, it’s important you are able to fully engage with an advisor. We recommend you avoid visiting the Virtual Advising Center when you are engaged in another activity, such as driving, that limits your attention during the session.

    Also, please have your documents prepared and ready so we can better assist you.

    • After clicking on the Virtual Advising Center button, you will be asked to enter your student ID.
    • You will then be signed into the Virtual Advising Center.
    • When your Microsoft Teams meeting launches, click the link that is displayed on the page (make sure you remain on this page). Note: When the Advisor launches your meeting, the link will remain available for 5 minutes. Please make sure to click the link.
    • Please make sure to follow the prompts on the screen to allow access to your Microphone and enter your name if prompted.
    • You will meet one-on-one with an advisor for individual assistance.
    • At the conclusion of the meeting, you will select leave meeting to exit.
