The Federal Pell Grant is based on financial need and does not need to be repaid.

For 2024-25, full-time awards range from $740 to $7,395.

Applications submitted by May 1 are given priority consideration.

Lifetime Eligibility Used

You can only receive Federal Pell Grant funding for the equivalent of 12 full-time terms, starting from the first time you received Federal Pell Grant funding. If you have already received the equivalent of or exceeded the 12 full-time term limit, you will no longer be able to receive Pell Grant funds.

There are no appeals or exceptions to the 12 full-time terms Pell Grant rule.
