Marketing Solutions Strategist and SPC alumna Destinee Bullard considers the connections she made at St. Petersburg College key to her ongoing success. Destinee earned her A.A. degree focused on mass communications in 2015 and received both a Johnnie Ruth Clarke Scholarship and the Dr. Mac J. Williams Academic Excellence Award at SPC. She earned her bachelor's degree in public relations from the University of Florida.
"I give a lot of credit to the faculty and staff at St. Petersburg College, who pushed me to do what I thought was impossible," she said.
While at SPC, Destinee worked as a college peer advisor and later as social media specialist and intern for SPC's Marketing and Strategic Communications department.
During a summer internship with the Home Shopping Network (HSN), Destinee made her television debut on the Wendy Williams Show, where she and another intern were selected to model clothing from the talk show host's fashion line during the live show. She later worked for HSN for two years beginning as a brand specialist and marketing manager before joining Valpak in 2019.
"I am so proud to say that my career started here. I learned so many new skills - from reporting to blogging and social media marketing - that helped me excel in my career."
