While St. Petersburg College does not offer a Child Development Association Credential (CDA) program, many students take early childhood courses to meet the national CDA requirements. Get the specific requirements on the Council for Professional Recognition website.

Initial Director Credential Requirements
For your Initial Director Credential, Level 1 or Level II, take SPC's EEC 2002: Foundations of Chld Care and Educational Administration, for 3 credits. This course is designed to meet Florida educational requirements for the Initial Child Care and Education Director Credential, Level I and Level II. The course content emphasizes the development of skills and a knowledge base for problem solving, planning, implementing and evaluating a quality child care and education program for child care administrators.
