computer science A.A. Transfer Plan-SPCThe Cybersecurity A.A. transfer plan is for students pursuing a bachelor of sciences degree in Cybersecurity at St. Petersburg College (CIP 11.1003, Track #4). Students who complete these requirements will graduate from SPC with an Associate in Arts Degree and will meet the state-mandated prerequisites for the Cybersecurity baccalaureate program under the FLDOE program classification of 11.1003, Track #4. Please note, Cybersecurity bachelor’s programs at other institutions in Florida may fall under other tracks which require different prerequisite courses. Please consult with your SPC advisor or desired transfer institution to ensure the correct prerequisite coursework is being taken.

A degree in Cybersecurity can prepare you for a long career in the field of IT security, where jobs are prolific across nearly every industry, including defense, technology and financial services firms, public safety, transportation, medical facilities, education, and energy and utilities.

Program Summary

This Program of Study is intended to assist in the transfer advising process. Students following transfer plan (CYSEC-TR) will graduate with an Associate of Arts degree from SPC. The following requirements include State Mandated Prerequisite courses and are intended to prepare students for transfer into SPC's Cybersecurity baccalaureate program or an equivalent in the State of Florida (CIP 11.1003, Track #4). Please note that each track within a CIP code designation has unique State Mandated Prerequisite courses. *This transfer plan is not designed for students transferring to USF. If you are planning to transfer to the Cybersecurity Bachelor's program at USF, please consult an advisor for guidance.* You should always consult with your SPC advisor or desired transfer institution to determine if your anticipated program is limited access and to ensure the correct coursework is being taken (including any foreign language requirements).
