Available SPC Accommodations
Accessibility Services strives to design accommodations to meet your needs. To better serve you, the more notice we have, the stronger the service we can provide. We ask that you request services in a timely manner and provide appropriate documentation indicating the specific need for a reasonable accommodation. Determination of accommodations is based on the interactive process with an Accessibility Coordinator and the documentation provided. Below are examples of some accommodations we offer.

Early registration for classes
If you are a continuing student on record with Accessibility Services and have registered for classes within the academic year, you are eligible for early registration.
Campus Accessibility Services specialists can provide registration assistance to students with disability-related scheduling issues and may advise you on academic or course selection.
Test and exam accommodations
Test-taking accommodations are determined in your initial meeting with your home campus Accessibility Services specialist. From there, you submit a Student Accommodation Form to your instructor, allowing enough time to make those arrangements.
You and your instructor typically agree on the testing arrangements, which are usually flexible.
For example, a student requesting double time for an exam may take it in the instructor's office, in the campus testing center or in another proctored location. A student who uses audio for testing may have a recorded CD or a live reader.

High School Students with Disabilities and Their Families
Tutors
SPC provides a limited number of tutors for Accessibility Services students. Tutoring is available by weekly appointment on selected SPC sites and is primarily focused on writing and mathematics courses. You can also take advantage of campus learning support commons and online tutoring available to all SPC students.
