SPC's American Sign Language Studies A.A. transfer plan is for students who want to pursue the Educational Interpreting subplan within SPC's Bachelor of Science Degree in Educational Studies and Community Leadership.
Professional interpreters provide a link between Deaf and hearing individuals in a variety of situations, including educational, religious, medical and mental health institutions as well as Video Relay Service settings. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ensures an increase in part-time and full-time positions available for credentialed interpreters who have initiative and ability.
