What is the College doing to recover following Hurricane Milton?
SPC’s Emergency Management Council, made up of leaders in all functional areas throughout the College, met before and during Hurricane Milton to coordinate emergency communications and storm preparations. Post-hurricane they continue to review communications and organize recovery efforts. They have been in contact with local and state emergency management officials, other educational insitutions, and community partners, as well as the Florida College System and the Florida Department of Education.

Various College departments have been working since the storm passed through the area to check SPC locations and systems for damage, clean debris, and make repairs to both online and on-campus services so the College can resume normal operations as soon as possible.

How do I sign up for the emergency alert system?
To choose to receive text messages for alerts, or to verify that your cell number is entered and noted to be your preferred contact, employees and students should follow the directions on the College's Emergency Preparedness site.

At this time, all on-campus activities and events are canceled through Saturday, Oct. 19. Updates about SPC's locations reopening and events being rescheduled will be provided once cleanup and repairs following Hurricane Milton are completed.
